(On at least an Intel chipset machine): * vim-lite, because! * xorg * hal * dbus * chrome * firefox * xfce4 * xfce4-battery-plugin .. as well as running vt + i915kms with drm2. It pulls in dependencies that are needed to be useful. Then, need to enable hal/dbus in rc.conf. Then for /etc/sysctl.conf: hw.acpi.lid_switch_state=S3 kern.ipc.shm_allow_removed=1 Then, need to set the frequency to the highest for now - let C states take charge. Otherwise on boot some hardware / BIOS will set the frequency to something low and it won't be stepped up. (.. it'd be nice to make powerd .. better.) adrianchadd/xorgnotes.txt Last modified: 2014/10/01 04:40by AdrianChadd
