====== FreeBSD Developer Summit Desktop Working Group ======

As part of the [[DevSummit/201205|May 2012 FreeBSD developer summit]], this working group will focus on collaboration between the %%FreeBSD%% and PC-BSD projects.

===== Goals =====

  * find points of collaboration

  * determine any outstanding issues and how to solve them

===== Specific Topics =====

Here is a preliminary agenda:

  * dealing with missing wireless drivers (Broadcom, Atheros)

  * monthly package sets for system components

  * outstanding port requests

  * System Package "datasets" for the desktop / jails

  * More frequent rolling updates

  * %%FreeBSD%% features we need GUI's for (ZFS, Geom, Jails, Sound Config, etc)
