AVR32 is a 32 bit SIMD microcontroller architecture from Atmel. There is ongoing work in the FreeBSD perforce repository to implement support for this architecture[1]. Currently, the FreeBSD kernel boots and runs on the architecture, while the userland part is lacking due to toolchain issues. This page will try to keep up with the status of the port as well as inform what work is next on the TODO.
