- Lately, a fair bit of measuring how performance changes with configuration changes for certain software building tasks
Home Stuff
- Private mirror of FreeBSD SVN repo (and ports & doc CVS repo) on home “build machine”
- Those mirrors are then mirrored:idea: onto my laptop
- I track stable/8, stable/9, and head on the above 2 machines daily
- Build machine also builds kernels for “firewall” and Web/mail server
- Sunday's build machine snapshot is used to install on firewall & Web/mail servers
- I build ports under “oldest” branch I track (presently, stable/8); I also update the installed ports daily on build machine & laptop; weekly for firewall & Web/mail server
