Wiki Notes
MarkLinimon has been editing (trying to edit) this wiki for a few weeks now. Here are his preliminary notes.
Tasks
- Give (and take!) accounts. Should be separate from clusteradm IMHO as they are overloaded enough.
- Architecting the wiki. The current chaos is terrible.
- The first assignment for the architect(s) is to create a SiteMap.
- Evicting (or at least quarantining) stale content.
- There is nearly as much stale content as good content – maybe more. Keeping things relevant will be an ongoing task.
Teams Needed
- Wiki account team.
- WikiCzars for architectural work and relevance sweeps.
Goals
- Make pages browsable via the fewest clicks possible.
- Thus, refactor the front page content into second-level pages. Only if necessary, into third-level pages.
- Keep the content fresh, or mark it stale if not.
- Add more entries to CategoryCategory to provide another way to browse.
