FPU emulation in the kernel completed marcel top(1) takes an additional 4% of CPU
Unified machine-specific headers Done: frame.h, hid.h marcel To do: kdb.h, pcb.h, pcpu.h, pmap.h, psl.h, pte.h, sf_buf.h, spr.h, tlb.h, trap.h, vmparam.h
Refactor code into sharp separation of core, SoC and platform (board) areas. raj
Rework kstack0 proximity. raj Include Peter's suggestions on early switching to kstack just before mi_startup()
RTC on MPC8555CDS (DS1553) done for 6.x, integrate, test with CURRENT raj
tsec(4): program MAC addresses based on bootinfo; refactor sys/dev/if_tsec.c into the core driver part and the bus attachment; import advanced features: polling, interrupt coalescing; fix “tsec0: using obsoleted if_watchdog interface” warning; man page polling, IC done for 6.x, integrate with CURRENT, man page in progress raj
loader(8): de-hard code kernel load address (env var?) raj
Refactor pmap, so that cpu-specific routines are clearly separated from generic BookE MMU operation; this way different BookE variations and revisions (e500v1/v2, ppc440) can have low-level routines according to their specifics (different kind and number of MMU assist registers etc.) raj
