Channel Moderators and Moderation Guidelines
Moderators
- Are Catalysts.
- Are servants of the community.
- Are exemplars and stewards of community standards and improvement.
- Demonstrate the ability to influence others positively.
- Can demonstrate regular and consistent channel activity.
- Can demonstrate understanding of freenode and its channel/network services.
Moderating
- Use +o as a last resort. Do not idle with +o
- Actions are announced/logged with rationale provided (eg: ban reasons with eir, anouncements in #freebsd-irc, etc).
- Any actions taken are timely, reasonable and appropriate.
- If/when you're unsure of a situation or potential action, ask/discuss it.
