Issues of concern
- Commonly reported FreeBSD issues - a pretty thorough list, by my standards - I try to maintain this as best as I can
- ATA/SATA issues and troubleshooting methods - my work in progress, describing common problems haunting FreeBSD users with ATA/SATA disks
HOWTOs
- Installing FreeBSD 7.x on a ZFS pool - how to do it all from the FreeBSD installer (well, most of it anyway)
- Setting up rrdbot on FreeBSD - getting familiar with the rrdbot SNMP poller
- Using dgamelaunch on FreeBSD - getting it to work, including some patches for FreeBSD
Useful links
- FreeBSD ISO snapshots - generated daily, for multiple architectures. ISOs are under the
cdromdirectories - My FreeBSD-related vimrc hints - great for
send-pr(1)and other things

My opinions about FreeBSD
The below are my own personal opinions on how and why FreeBSD is falling short in numerous realms. Keyword: personal. Despite the content being hosted at wiki.freebsd.org, these are not opinions that represent the Project. I fully acknowledge that as a ports committer I have an image to uphold, thus I feel this disclaimer should be sufficient. If you take what I say as representing the Project, then you're intentionally trolling or being rude. Please be cool (read: reasonable) about this, okay? Thanks.
- Where FreeBSD falls short - a list and verbose explanations of areas I feel FreeBSD fails miserably with regards to, and why you might find me recommending alternative OSes on occasion
