Title * DTrace %%ToolKit%% on %%FreeBSD%% Description DTrace is a pretty cool feature for Solaris 10. Also it is very useful. %%FreeBSD%% team want to support this feature too. Dtrace Toolkit is a group of developed scripts. Summary In this summer, under the instruction of my mentor John Birrell, I learned a lot about kernel hacking. Because many probes supported in Sun %%OpenSolaris%% are not supported in %%FreeBSD%%, porting DTrace Toolkit is almost similar to writing probes for DTrace Toolkit in %%FreeBSD%% kernel. This job requires much more knowledge about kernel of %%OpenSolaris%% and of %%FreeBSD%%. Actually I find the job is pretty interesting.
