Packages are now available for mips and mips64
Prebuilt packages are now available for the mips and mips64 architectures. You can use “pkg install <thing>” just as you would on any tier-1 FreeBSD platform.
Most of the info below is completely outdated and needs a major revision.
Package Building on MIPS
MarkLinimon has begun experimenting with package building on the mips architecture. Here are some notes.
- We are not able to distribute the packages at this time due to resource constraints.
- We have only looked at FreeBSD 10.0-CURRENT #12 r237539:237566M: Sat Jul 21 19:34:25 UTC 2012
- What's below should only be taken as guidelines.
