University of Waterloo William G. Davis Computer Research Centre room DC1302.

DC1302 is behind the glass “fishbowl” on the main floor of the Davis Centre - to the left of the curved yellow/orange wall in the photo above.

Note that the room has only a few electrical receptacles. Please bring an extension cord and power bar if you can.

Consider booking an open jaw flight: fly to Ottawa (YOW) for BSDCan, and return from Toronto (YYZ) after the hackathon.

Suggest VIA Rail train from Ottawa to Kitchener on Sunday May 19. About $150 one-way taxes incl. Greyhound bus is about $100. Either option is about 8-10h total.

Or, fly from YOW-YYZ and use GO train, VIA train, or bus from Toronto to Kitchener-Waterloo.

Kitchener-Toronto is about $20 by GO train, VIA train (with advance purchase), or bus. Carpooling is likely available between Toronto and Waterloo.

The closest major airport is Toronto Pearson (YYZ), about 100km away. There is no scheduled service from Ottawa to The Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF).

Toronto Pearson (YYZ) is about 100km from Kitchener-Waterloo; bus and train connections exist but are somewhat inconvenient - emaste@ can provide advice based on the time of day you fly. Airways Transit shared van service is available; a taxi from the airport is about $150 CAD.

There is a flight from downtown Toronto's Billy Bishop airport (YTO) to YKF, perhaps useful if someone wants to spend some time in Toronto.

10-15 minute walk to venue. Some are hotel/apartment style, some are student dorms.
