Hackathon October 4th-6th Oslo, Norway

This might be a little optimistic and we will probably have to stop to eat at some point.

Here are some ideas that people could work on during the Hackathon. It's good to know what to work on to get started right away. We're probably doing some kind of check-in at the beginning to see what individuals want to work on. It's OK to not have something right away. Maybe you can team up with someone working on something with a common interest.

  • work through the PR database (both low-hanging fruits and longer work items)
  • go through the list of reviews and see if there is one that has been approved, but not committed yet. Or find one that needs some feedback and move it closer towards the finish line (whatever that may be)
  • Write a test, we can never have enough coverage
  • Adopt an orphaned port, update an existing one, or create a completely new port altogether
  • Read and update the documentation (typos, grammos, spelling)

Sessions are intended for everyone to discuss a specific topic of interest. People are allowed to just listen, but the goal of the session is to both get something out of it and provide something of your own for the group of attendees.

Session Topic Lead by When Short description
Productivity (Tools and tactics) bcr Wed Afternoon The goal of this session is to share any tools, books, tactics, principles, ideas, etc. that you are using or learning about to be more productive. Could be programming, scheduling, planning, recurring tasks, anything that you think is useful for the group to know about.

Like most of Europe, Norway uses CEE 7 types C and F.

Modirum have kindly offered to host us in their offices in central Oslo located at Pløens Gate 4
