  • CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz
  • Ethernet: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Connection (4) I219-V (never tested, should work)
  • Graphics: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620 (KBL GT2)
  • Memory: 16384 MB
  • Screen: 14” WQHD
  • Storage: Samsung PM981 1TB (MZVLB1T0HALR) NVMe

  • Cellular: XMM7360 LTE Advanced Modem (never tested, no driver)
  • Digitizer: Wacom Co.,Ltd. Pen and multitouch sensor
  • Camera: SunplusIT Inc Integrated Camera

Basically, most things work out of the box on this, with FreeBSD 12 and 13 (from Jan 2021).

Exceptions are the LTE modem and fingerprint reader.

Also, there seems to be no support for the tablet sensor, I get nothing when in devd or anywhere when I fold it into tablet position :(

USB-C only startet to work with 13 for me, but I did a BIOS update at the same time, so I do not know what actually caused it to work.

I have now switched off Thunderbolt in BIOS, and I can’t remember this setting from before, so it might well be the BIOS.

Needs acpi_video.ko for brightness control, acpi_ibm.ko does not work for brightness.

For good performance with blender, either start it with

vblank_mode=0 blender

or

LIBGL_DRI3_DISABLE=1 blender

it seems DRI3 is not working, even with the newest i915.ko.
