FreeBSD Developer Summit Desktop Working Group
As part of the May 2012 FreeBSD developer summit, this working group will focus on collaboration between the FreeBSD and PC-BSD projects.
Goals
- find points of collaboration
- determine any outstanding issues and how to solve them
Specific Topics
Here is a preliminary agenda:
- dealing with missing wireless drivers (Broadcom, Atheros)
- monthly package sets for system components
- outstanding port requests
- System Package “datasets” for the desktop / jails
- More frequent rolling updates
- FreeBSD features we need GUI's for (ZFS, Geom, Jails, Sound Config, etc)
